Back to India

Welcome to my first post EVER!!

Thanks to all my friend's who have been patiently waiting to hear from me.

I am having a writer's block!! Have lot's of stuff to write about but don't know where to start.

To start ...Our flight to India was pretty smooth except for the carry on baggage we had to haul while changing planes. We decided to carry all our pictures ( too precious to ship or check in ) with us in a carry-on bag which weighed more than 40 lbs..then we had two other carry on bags, one diaper bag, one camera bag, my purse , two laptops and for some reason we decided not to take a stroller for Vaibhav...that added an extra 24 lbs for us to carry. This was vaibhav's second trans-continental flight..he out did his previous flight..he slept through most of it. we both ( babli ) could catch up on our much needed sleep as we spent the previous two night's packing and cleaning the apartment.

We landed on time at the new international airport in Hyderabad , the new airport is pretty neat. Of Course!!!!! I had to shop at the duty free store ..the prices were pretty competitive.I was impressed with the range of hard liquor ,perfume's and Cologne's they had.

As soon as we got home ..my dear husband had some coffee and went off to set up his computer's in the office room...if I am not mistaken I think he logged on to his work within four hour's of landing.

It took about a week for Vai to come out of jet lag. Month of May is peak of summer here in Hyderabad... it was about 107.6 F the day we landed and is still around the same...it's really really hot.

But the best thing about Indian Summers are the wonderful varieties of Mangoes that are available...trust me, the mangoes here are just the best ...mmmm...mm..mm!!!!! and the beautiful and fragrant Jasmines. Jasmine's are known to cool your body during the hot summer months...women here adorn them in their hair.. I will soon post some pictures.

My in-laws left for the U.S to help Kamal's sister and brother-in-law with their daughter Uma.she goes to day care and has been frequently falling sick. I am sure she is having a blast with them now.Now that my in-law's left for the U.S. My parent's took there place and are living with us and are helping us with Vaibhav. Vaibahv's having a blast here..he gets way too much attention from all the people around him. That.'s for today

Before I sign off CONGRATULATION'S to my good friend SRAVANTHI for Winning the Resident of the Year Award.

A heartfelt Thanks to the Kauhane's and the Lynn's for throwing a wonderful send-of-party and thanks to all our friends back in the U.S for being such great friends..we love you all and miss you very dearly.

Take care,
Archana

Can't wait for the 'jasmine' and 'mango' pictures to come our way. Do peep in and say Hi to Kamal plugging away in his office and a BIG hug for dear old Vai.
